Business Development Account Executive – Student Placement Opportunity starting in summer 2012. Job Summary - Your role will require you to setup, manage, deliver and report on lead and appointment generation campaigns for our customers, both new and old. One of your responsibilities will be to work closely with our clients to setup the projects that we run for them and contribute to the campaign's design, advising them on data strategy, suggest suitable product/service messaging as well as understanding and managing client expectations. When the project gets started, it will be your responsibility to troubleshoot and suggest changes that can be made to the project to increase its success and meet the results that the client expects as well as provide clients with detailed reports and campaign analysis. Your interaction with our clients could be over the phone, email or face to face. This Project/Account Management element to the role makes up for about 15% of your overall responsibilities. The main responsibility you will have is to deliver the projects that between the client, the management team and you have helped to setup. This part of the role requires you to communicate with prospects over the phone on behalf of our client and assess their interest in their product or service; typically with the objective of arranging a follow up call or meeting for our client to engage further. This part of the role is measured by results and campaign performance and requires self-motivation, enthusiasm and excellent communication skills. Other responsibilities where necessary will be to train and brief colleagues on certain technologies or campaigns, to attend industry conferences, to co-ordinate and be involved in call out days and contribute towards new business activities for EST Marketing directly. Job Specifics Hours of work Monday – Thursday 9:00am – 5:30pm (1 hr lunch, 2x 15 min breaks) Friday - 9:00am – 5:00pm – (1/2 hr lunch, 2 x 15 min breaks) (You may be asked to work outside of your contracted hours in order to get work completed)Holiday- 20 days paid holiday per annum (Jan – Dec) Pay - £14,500 per annum + incentive plan with £3000 OTE upon completion of probation period (3 months) Suitable Courses - Business Studies (and similar course titles), Marketing, and IT. Job Prospects – This placement year is not an easy one, you will be asked to step outside of your comfort zone, think on your feet and utilise skills that perhaps do not come naturally to you. We now have over 6 years experience in employing placement year students, and believe that we provide you with an excellent grounding and equip you with an array of skills that would contribute to a number of job roles. We would argue that this role is geared best to those interested in pursuing a career in sales, marketing, PR, IT or customer service. The placement students that have been employed previously now hold a variety of roles within some of the largest UK employers, including the likes of JP Morgan. One placement year student has gone on to become a security consultant within one of the brightest IT consultancy firms in the UK.
